Yayyyyyy!!

I'm happy now, Warehouse have launched there sale and one of the lovely top's I wanted has been reduced!! Love Warehouse's sale, they always have really good value, and the stuff you want is generally reduced, AND they have it before your hol's so there is some nice sundresses in it too! Anyhu back to this top! It is 100% recycled silk! So it is a very ethical and conscientious buy in my opinion! I do love all things green and doing my bit for the environment! :) Isn't is beautiful though, and the detail down the front is so pretty! It is also available in black and dark grey, it's reduced to £30! They have also reduced this spirograph print top, which I just love! It's like a little explosion of colour! It is also 100% silk but is not recycled, it has been reduced to £30 too. Slightly parachute, it would look gorgeous with skinny skinny jeans, and how sexy would it be with no bra underneath! Gorgeous!!

Style Thief: Blake Lively

Spotted at a New York event last week, Blake Lively in what is fast becoming her trademark, the playsuit!! She is sporting a beautiful blue silk piece by Adam which retails at around £235. If you are on a budget like myself, Topshop do a nice bright playsuit shown here with a round neck for £45 or River Island do a great one either which is a strappy little one with ruffles, same colour, which retails for £30. Unfortunately I can't get a picture of it for you! As we all can see Blake is wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin Very Prive 120 in Nude with her outfit. For a cheaper option, I thought these little babies from Topshop, £65 would look really cool with the outfit! They are cork and are just a little bit different but really fun! You would get so much wear out of them during summertime and they would really add inches to your leg!! Christian Louboutin had cork shoes in S/S collection last year! Layer up with bangles and you are good to go!

End of the Road for Lacroix

Shocking news this morning. French fashion house Christian Lacroix has gone bust, filing for bankruptcy yesterday afternoon. The former Creative Director for Pucci has filed for bankruptcy in an apparent attempt to stave off creditors. I am really saddened by this news, I never imagined that any of the fashion houses would collapse in the midst of this recession, even though it is one of the industries hit hardest. Hopefully this will be the only one.

Look what's here! Grazi..a!!

Look magazine is offering readers a 20% discount at Warehouse this week when you present their coupon at the checkout!! I have my eye on a few things in Warehouse at the mo, namely these gorgeous beaded sandals which are a bargain at €36! Unfortunately they are really hard to find, they just flew out of stores, I can see why!! Another magazine that is offering great discounts is Grazia, which has launched Easy Chic week lasting until this weekend I think. It is offering readers 25% off at oli.co.uk, Kookai, Wallis, Esprit and Koh Samui!! What a great week for us readers eh!! So many discounts to choose from!

Omg, Just Spotted

Omg how gorgeous is this dress by Thread Social, I just stumbled across it and oh the want :( Would love to have a summer wedding to wear it to, it's so beautiful! 100% silk too so right up my alley!! Oh it definitely has the luxe factor!! Very Carrie Bradshaw! I can almost see her in it with her hair scraped back into a messy bun! Ooooohhh the want!! How gorgeous would it be with this Marc Jacobs python bag!! Wow!

Ooooohhh hurry up sales!!

I am counting down the days until the big sales start!! My list is getting longer by the day, and the want is so overpowering I can hardly breathe with excitement!! I thought I would share with you my most wanted list of stuff I cannot wait to go into sale!! Here goes.........

1)Marc by Marc Jacobs, Big Tote Print Bag
Perfect college bag me thinks :)

2)Marc by Marc Jacobs, Linda Suede Clutch
How beautiful is this bag?? If you haven't got a chance to touch it yet, it feels gorgeous!! I love the feel of suede, so luxorious!! This bag is a keeper! The lining on the inside is just so delicate and pretty, and this colour scheme is the nicest in my opinion

3) Marc Jacobs, The Single Bag
Continuing my Marc Jacobs obsession!! I love this bag it is just so young and funky, and is perfect to bring if you want to dance the night away! As someone who does a lot of that, it is just perfect to have a bag that you can just throw over your shoulder and don't have to worry about! And the inside is perfect with a zipped pocket and room for about 8 cards, so all you need is you lipgloss, phone, keys and your good to go! Love the gold!!

4) Mulberry Silk Shift Dress
How pretty is this dress?? So cute and girly, and so just downright summery!! A Mulberry Classic me thinks, I love this dress so much and just thinking of all the places I could wear it makes me go all warm and fuzzy inside!

5) Jimmy Choo Sandals
These too me would appear out of my wardrobe every single summer for years to come!! They are just gorgeous! They are suede and are 5.5 inches high, but that colour sandal would just elongate your leg so much! These are a clever buy in my opinion!!

6) Christian Louboutins
Ahhhh the obligatory Loub! According to Paula Reed every girl should have a pair of these in her wardrobe! These statement shoes do last forever, and why bother paying full whack for them, when they are still gonna be just as stylish in the sales?? The clever shopper invests in these at 50% off! So gorgeous, and every now knows who the red sole belongs too! Perfect for making an impact! I picked the Very Prive 120 peep toe pump but really any style you pick will ultimately be a classic!

7) My Mulberry
Last but by no means least is my beautiful Mulberry bag!! Can't wait to see what reductions will be made on this bag! A very pink classic!

Can't wait to see if I will be able to afford any of these and if I can only get one, which one will I go for!! Must start saving now! Oh the excitement!! Love to know what others have their eye's on for sale time!

Vacancy for Fairy Godmother.........

I was at Tuesday night's event in Brown Thomas, I'm sure most of you saw it on Tv3's Xpose last night, with Ms Paula Reed Style Director of Grazia magazine. I have to say she is very down to earth and just a really nice person who really knows her stuff about fashion! She was launching her book Style Clinic, which I got (she signed it!) and have been reading it ever since. If you are someone like me who is just obsessed with fashion and loves to read about it then you would love this book!! It has some really good tips and try to show you how to build the perfect wardrobe. Paula put together 15 outfits and talked us through each one in a fashion show. For someone who's works in fashion I really admired her when she was talking us through a €1,195 Balenciaga Blazer but then recommended that we go and buy one from the high street, and also with a very Chanel-esque D&G navy & red jacket for €1980 she admitted that she had bought herself a high street version instead!! Unfortunately I have no pics but I'm sure they will be in this weeks Sunday Tribune (sponsors)! I really love how she admitted to wearing high street especially in Brown Thomas amongst a few bitter women who wear kitted out in Chanel & YSL. I love how you can just mix high-street and designer now, I don't think there is anything more stuffy than seeing someone dressed head to toe in exclusive labels, especially young people!! It does not give you style! I really wish thought that she could be my style fairy Godmother!!

The Want...

I have the want for a new bag. I spotted it in Brown Thomas last week, picked it up, nonchalantly throwing it over my shoulder whilst walking to the mirror and then ****BAM**** I fell in love with it! Now I have the want, and I have it bad!!It's an absolute beaut, but pricey, even though I have been working out all the ways I could use it, like everyday to college and then it's a case of cost per use really (cost of bag divided by number of times said bag would be used = cost per use). This is my way of justifying ridiculous amounts of money on clothes and accessories!! Take for example my Marc Jacobs bag I bought in New York at the start of the year, I have used that bag every single day exclusively since I bought it, with my magic cost per use method this bag has already paid itself off!! And I haven't bought another bag since, I know shocking, but this is why I am in the market for a new bag! Anyhu my new want is the Mulberry Roxanne (perfect for college!!) in Lipstick pink!! It is an absolute classic, and the shade of pink is so delicious I could lick it!! So imagine my delight when I get an email saying mywardrobe.com have 30 % off all shoes and bags, only to discover on the website all bags except Mulberry bags! :( So now I shall wait for the sales and hope there is a 70% reduction on my beautiful bag, or maybe just keep searching ebay because I just can't spend €750 on a pink bag, even if it is a classic!

Amy and PPQ

Amy Winehouse has signed up with Brit label PPQ to create her own range! Hopefully this will be the start of something big for our favourite songstress and help keep her back on track! I really think this is going to be a great collection, I have always loved Amy's style and can't wait to see what this collection holds! It will be available online, so keep watching this space!

Reed all about it!!

source:harpercollins.com

Anyone familiar with Grazia magazine will know of the fabulous editor, Paula Reed! Well she is hosting an exclusive Style Clinic evening in Dublin's Brown Thomas with 100 very lucky people, of which I shall be one! I am very excited to hear what she has too say as I do greatly admire her! The event is on on Tuesday and is invitation only! I shall fill you in on any style tips she might dish out!

This Just In!!

I just received word this morning that after her successful shoe collection for Topshop, Emma Cook will be doing another collaboration with Topshop, which will be in store by the end of July! The collection will only be available in London's Oxford Circus, White Cross, Manchester, Selfridge's and New York, as well as online presumably!

It's Kate

Kate Moss tenth collection for Topshop launched this morning online! I have to admit I was online from 6.30 this morning to get a preview of all the collection before it went on sale! There were so many pieces that I wanted to buy, but some can be quite pricey considering u might not get the wear out of them, so I limited myself to one piece!! It nearly killed me & I was sneaking more into my basket but my boyfriend caught me :( So I purchased the beautiful red dress with rope halterneck, I love the shape on this dress, it really is a classic and flattering cut that I should get a lot of wear out of! Can't wait for it to arrive, should be here by early next week, yay! :)

Style Thief: Zoe Kravitz

How gorgeous does Zoe Kravitz look in this Matthew Williamson outfit? I have been hearting it for a long time now, so imagine my delight when I came across this Lipsy version priced at £65 and available from their website. It also comes in cream and navy! Isn't it just gorgeous?? Pair it with these shoes from Aldo at £80 and an orange bag and you are good to go!

Marks and Spencers Penny Bazaar

From tomorrow through to Friday, Marks and Spencers are celebrating there 125th anniversary by hosting penny bazaars in the majority of their stores. I have enquired and they are also doing this in most of their Irish stores too. Having originally started out as a penny bazaar, they will be each day selling off items for 1p, yep 1p!! I'm very excited about this, can't wait to see what bargains they will have tomorrow!!

Kate Moss for Topshop

I just saw a sneak peek and let's just say expect a lot of embellishment, fringing, ikat prints, florals and sequins!!Can't wait!!

Speaking of Vogue...

(Image from CBSnews.com)
Anna Wintour, Vogue's notorious US editor has done a tell-all programme for US channel CBS'60 minutes show. I have been dying for this show to air, too finally get a glimpse into her life, into the Vogue office and to see is she really as harsh as she is made out to be, remember The Devil Wears Prada Editor Amanda Priestly is supposedly based on Ms. Wintour. Rumour has it that she gets a clothing allowance of $200,000 from her employers at Conde Nast. $200,000!! And they pick up her daily bill for hair and make-up on top of that! Unfortunately the segment is only 13 minutes long because I could watch her for hours! So sit back and enjoy getting a truly interesting and rare insight into fashion's most powerful woman.

Topshop's tres Vogue

How cute is this ring?? This fiftie's style ring has just the right amount of bling! Featured in this month's Vogue, it will be available from Topshop for £15! Not yet available over here yet or even on their website keep an eye out for this sherbety coloured treat! This little beauty will fly out the doors! Have a closer look on stylefinder.com

Never Ever Full!

Check out this beautiful Neverfull Bag by Louis Vuitton.  This is one of the most versatile bags ever made.  As the name suggests it holds a hell of a lot of stuff! It's a great everyday bag to have, and really is a classic! It can be used for so much, from running errands, to going to boardroom meetings, to even the beach!! It is available in Brown Thomas or Louis Vuitton.com! If you want to have a closer look check out Louis Vuitton's website or stylefinder.com where these pics are from! I'm not 100% sure of the price in euros, but it starts from around £380 sterling, bargain!!

Karl Lagerfeld Jeans

Check out these amazing jeans from K by Karl Lagerfeld.  These beautiful dark denim jeans have gorgeous orange stitching and are retailing at theoutnet.com with a massive 60% off  for €63.45!! Yes €63!! Grab these high waisted beauties before they are gone!! These will sell out fast!! (Pic from theoutnet.com)

This Summer's Sunnies!

Just ordered my new sunnie's this past weekend, hopefully I'll have my little paws on them within the next week!!  Another hopefully, is that our little Irish eyes will be blessed with some sunshine this summer so I can actually wear them! My fingers are permanently crossed!! I really can't wait to wear them, they are part of the Dior Classics collection, tres Jackie O! And only €150, which I think is a really good price, considering they never go out of fashion! My only regret is that I didn't get them last summer when I was looking at them, instead I bought a pair of Dior Quadrille in brown too which are gorgeous but I could probably count on my hands the amount of time I have worn them unfortunately! This is another example of my investment buying craze that I'm on, hopefully I won't buy another pair next year, fingers crossed! Anyhu just spotted these beauties on www.net-a-porter.com, (pics are from netaporter.com) they are by Miu Miu and are a very reasonable price at £120 (that's sterling...) Not too dissimilar from my Dior's, they are quite Jackie O too.  I think this is a style that we will see being continued over the next few years, so in my opinion would be quite a wise buy....

Bubblegum Club

The Bubblegum Club, a charity very close to my heart has just emailed me looking for volunteers to do a parachute jump to raise money for this brilliant charity! For those of you that don't know, the Bubblegum Club is a charity that looks after children with life-threatening illnesses, and gives them great opportunities in life that due to their illness they would not necessarily be given! It is such a brilliant and heart-warming charity that gives hope and belief to so many sick children.  It is a voluntary organisation of doctors and nurses who bring these ill children on tripos, day-outs and make their dreams come through, I can not say enough about it, it really is a great charity! The jumps are planned to take place on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st June at Clonbullogue Airfield, Edenderry, Co.Offaly! For anyone interested in doing the parachute jump they are asked to contact Sharon on 01 2360456 or email her at sharon@bubblegumclub.ie! Or check out the charity's website at www.bubblegumclub.ie, for information on both this and other fundraising events!

Thank God for Tea Tree

Omg I have come out in one of my worst breakouts that I can remember!! I was never one to have spots but for the past month I have had such a bad breakout! I have really started to feel the pain acne sufferers must go through as it is such a knock to your confidence.  I rarely wear make-up during my day-to-day life and I found it really hard to go out the door, feeling that everyone was staring at me! Normally how I look doesn't really bother me, but all I could think about was the spots on my face the whole time! Acne sufferers you now have my sympathy and my understanding!! I always heard that tea tree is great for helping get rid of spots so for the past ten days I have gone tea tree crazy!I hotfooted it down to Boots and I got Boots Tea-Tree and Witch Hazel Cleanser and Toner, and Peel Off Mask (2 for €7.50,nice and easy on the pocket)  have been going around dabbing the cleanser/toner on my spots morning, noon and night! It is just a miracle cure, it has cleared up my skin lovely!! I still am getting spots on my chin which is apparently to do with your liver??!! but I can deal with having just a few!! And I'm still dabbing away!

Designer Collection for High Street

I have been trying to hunt down the beautiful yellow silk kaftan that Matthew Williamson included as part of his summer collecton for H&M.  Included in the campaign photos and modelled by the stunning Daria Werbowy, it is one of the most recognisable pieces and therefore sold out in minutes!! I have been trawling through ebay daily looking for this piece at a reasonable price, and  I am just sickened to see how many people are actually going out to snap up the collection and then flog it on Ebay at extortionate prices!! I am getting really sick of this practise, the exact same thing happens with Kate Moss for Topshop.  I just think it is so unfair and it really is daylight robbery! It takes the fun out of it for me! Having had to buy his sequin dress from his H&M Spring collection off Ebay, I couldn't believe how many pieces from the collection that this particular seller had! I still paid the same price as I would have had I bought it in the H&M store luckily enough because I was absolutley in love with this dress! Having seen it previewed in Vogue on a flight to Milan I knew then & there that I had to have it, but in these tough times I was not going to pay twice the price for it! The gorgeous parrot dress worn at the launch by the stunning Helena Christensen is selling upwards of €100 right now!! Anyhu enough about my ranting!! How gorgeous were both his collections?? He is absolutely one of my favourite designers and I was literally counting down the days, and scouring the internet for more information about him, I planned it like a mission!!  I am just crazy about my sequins dress and spend most of my time in my bedroom just watching it hang, and admiring its beauty!! When you see it up close and see how much work and detail that has been put into it, €220 for it is such a freakin bargain!! :)
