I'm not going to lie it was the words Kensington and Caviar that attracted me to these products. They sounded kinda fancy and luxurious. Nicely done guys! I was in the market for a really good quality top and base coat and done a little research. Nails Inc Kensington Caviar products got a lot of rave reviews. I was already a big Nails Inc fan, Elizabeth Street and Victoria & Albert are two of my staple shades. I love their consistency, their pigmentation and the fact that they actually last - so I was very excited to try the Kensington products. So I dropped some subtle (read emailing him a product link) to the boy and voila, they magically appeared under my Christmas tree.
The Kensington collection is for dry to normal nails. I had found that my nails had become dry after trying out Shellac last year.
Kensington Caviar Base Coat
Apply one layer of base coat to clean, dry nails. The caviar extract in the base coat is supposed to help nourish the nail. It definitely feels luxurious when you apply it. I have been using it weekly since Christmas and I have definitely noticed that my nails have become stronger. It is a great quality product, which prevents staining when worn under nail polish. Even if I am not applying polish to my nails I wear this on its own to keep my nails strong.
Kensington Caviar 45 Second Top Coat
I have to admit initially I was quite sceptical of their 45 second claim as we have all had a manicure ruined by touching something when it should be dry but this really works. I apply the base coat, apply 2 coats of Nails Inc/OPI polish and then apply this top coat. My nails are dry within minutes and it means I can now have my nails done in 5-10 minutes and they last for a week. The finish on this product is incredible, it gives a shellac like shine and a professional look. I am constantly getting compliments on how great my nails look since I've started using these products. I am sure people now think that I spend my days getting manicures. I have found my hero nail products and I will not be changing from them. I have recommended them to everyone I know!
